HOME FROM IRELAND

ONCE again, we have gone, been, and returned home from Ireland. Each return is tougher than the last. Each return takes longer to get back into the swing of things. And living in Newport Beach, CA is a nice place to live… but after returning from Ireland, this place just seems too crowded, too busy, too rude, and just down-right unsatisfying.
The freedom of the open land, the different shades of green, the slow, friendly pace of rural life, and even the more rushed pace of metropolitan Dublin

Stand Up Goddess

Ξ May 15th, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Goddess |

Hello. Good evening. Thank you for coming out. Before I start talking about this and that let me ask you a most important question. Please don’t try to cover it up just because it’s unusual, or even unbelievable, but just hold up your hand. Who in this room was NOT born of a woman? Not born of a woman… aha… so we are all born of a woman, every one of us? Yes. That’s what I thought.
Then we can discuss being mammals together, can’t we?
Primates are mammals who are all born of a primate mother.
You see it’s not something we own up to, normally. We say nice things to our mother on Mothers Day, and her birthday, but what is that compared to the daily gift of life we enjoy, the breathing in and out. The joy […]

Mothers and Daughters: Issues!

Ξ May 3rd, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Musings |

Ever since I decided to return to work after five years of health related absence, and create a weekend for Mothers and Daughters on Mother’s Day weekend, the issues are pouring out of everybody.
So how was your childhood?
This all important time in our human development is tossed aside by society, and everything is left to a young mother to deal with. We may have a helper, usually not a man, often our mother. When we become mothers we notice that there is no good will toward mothers being mothers in public. If she needs to nurse her baby, she is called disgusting. Her breast, with a suckling babe is banned as obscene from the cover of baby magazines!
The mammalian breasts, these all important, often artificially enlarged tits, filled with silicone or salt water, yes they are worth lots […]

Granny Rehab Goes Off the Pills

Ξ May 3rd, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Musings |

It’s now the 8th month after my accident. The inflamed S.I.joint is less angry, Dr J said. I have about a two pain level, between the one and ten. Maybe more like three. But never mind.
After I wrote a very intelligent letter to Doctors 11 and 12, three weeks later I got a response. They got curious at last. They asked Dr 1, to put me through a series of tests, including even Nuclear Medicine.
So yesterday I had to go to the fourth floor at Alta Bates, where they took blood from me again, quite a lot of it. Taking the blood is nothing compared to the uninspired sticking me with needles, unsuccessfully. My arm is blue from these failed needle marks. Finally a very handsome and cheerful guy, and young, took the blood without hurting me much.
The blood […]

Cerridwen Sidhewolf

Here you will find musing of the Goddess and historical information on Herstory. I will also share my thoughts on the northern isles [Ireland, Whales, Scottland] that have retained the deeply ancient pagan traditions known as the Faery Faith. This is my journey and my truth, as I have come to understand it.

For flavoring, I've added the RSS feeds from the blogs of other sisters who speak their truth. Not all postings here will be my own, for the Goddess has many voices and all are relevant.
